EFES FE Burial Ad?

This morning on NBC local Tampa station had this Burial ad with a number and website listed. I thought the ad was well written and informative.

Any EFES agent working these leads?

The thing that jumped out at me is the use of "your" when it should be "you're" .. You would think a professional copy writer would not make that type of mistake.

Where did you see "your" used improperly on there?

As for the ad. They do generate leads from that but I don't how they are handled. They don't use that ad in my area. I wish they would.

I think it is a great idea. Seniors do use computers at least at the higher income levels.

Actually they not only use "your" incorrectly they also added the "are".. .. it should have read either "If you're" or "If you are"... not a combination of both.

If your are 85 and healthy, congratulate yourself"

It is really no big deal but it is one of those little things that always jumps out at me.

No, I have contacted them before but passed on being an agent with them because they where relying on one lead source which I thought was a downfall, but after viewing this ad it might be a plus so you are not tied down to just mailers in the local market.

As a former high school English teacher, I admire your persistent concerns for the correct use contractions and pronouns. However, as a FE salesman I might've worded the ad this way. "If you're eighty-five and healthy, it's later than you think!"

Nothing wrong with being both grammatically correct and to the point..
