Looking at using Aetna FE product. Their rates seem pretty good but not sure on quickness or ease of underwriting. Thoughts, anyone?

That's AmCon. They are great to work with and an easy application. Their rates are on the high side or I would use them more.

In fact, if their rates were better I would make them my go to company.

they are great for the right situations. Their rates aren't all that bad, but they are great for smokers and are only a few cents more than Foresters on everyone else. Some other noteables-

  • They write up to age 89, most carriers don't go beyond 85.
  • They do not do MIB or script check, they underwrite strictly off their answers to the health questions and nothing more, so you don't have to worry about incorrect MIB info or a dual use drug causing issues.
  • They will do an effective date up to 6 months in advance which can come in handy, most carriers will only do 30 days (a couple will do 60).
  • Their phone interview is much easier than most carriers.

We are an IMO for them here in TN if you don't have a contract, feel free to PM me.

Yeah I just got contracted with them recently. I like the no MIB or script check but the rates are a little high but they seem to be good for older folks.

I'm not 100% sure but I think they will offer Immed coverage for people with COPD a certain number of years after their diagnosis if they use no meds for it.

Can anyone confirm that? And any hope they will lower their rates anytime soon? I'm looking for a good go to company to replace RNA.
