Ex Date Software?

I am FIRM believer in Ex dates. If you use it, they will be ready for you. I just left my current captive agency and my laptop had a marvelous Ex date system on it. Of course, I cant take it with me but I want something more than the ol card catalog.

Here is what I want which is simple. I entered the name address, phone and etc and what line of business and when it renewed. Well, 30 days before that, when I opened my ex date tab, there they were, my system reminded me.

Birthdays worked more than anything. When a Bday popped up, id call and wish them a HB and man, youd think I threw them a surprise party.

Anyone? Ive searched and not really had any luck. My good friend on the forums Frank Statsny has a good system in his YIO but not sure if its for a true P&C agent. Any thoughts on that would be welcomed too.

Thanks again.

Have you looked at ACT! from Sage Software? It is a full contact management solution, but you can input dates and reminders. It also allows you to keep track of any correspondence sent to a particular contact.

It's called Microsoft Outlook. I pair it up with OneNote and it's the perfect contact management system. If you want web based, you can look at Google Calendar which is also awesome and syncs with Outlook as well.

Good luck!

I wish this statement was close to true. I guess it works in a limited way, but P&C agents need a few more things than Outlook gives you.

Act comes close, just isn't really geared towards individuals or insurance. It's not an agency management system, but it at least is a contact management system. If you add in Act For Advisors, you get reasonably close to a low cost, decent solution.

An alternative is SmartOffice from EZData. I just hate the monthly fee concept.

I tried the YIO demo for a while. It appeared decent enough for life/health marketing. It didn't capture the type of info I needed as a P&C agent though. Also, it doesn't do any document management, which I find crucial, even in prospecting.

You would think with all the tech savy P&C agents out there someone could develope a software program geared toward a P&C agent. I wish I had a clue at how to write software.

Ok, this post got me to searching for a product like this and I found a product called zywave but from looking at their website it looks like it would be pretty expensive and geared toward larger agency. Has anyone had any experience with their products?

I just found a website with alot of different sofware systems for agency management. the website is Insurance Software: insurance agency software - Software Finder at Forbes Powered by Capterra hope this helps although I have never heard of any of them. Who knew there were so many systems, until today I only knew of two and niether were geared toward P&C

Oh, there are lots. The P&C stuff is usually a full-blown agency management package, making it pretty expensive.

Im still looking too. I have a half mill in Xdates and I dont want to use the ol card system but I will if I have too because Im a believer in it.

OneNote has document management etc. Now, I admittedly am no in P&C, but it seems like it would work.
