We should call this the exchange stimulus job act. Bow to Queen sebellus, and you get paid. I'm counting almost a 1/2 billion $ doled out yesterday to state exchanges. (Mine cost $9):
$196 mil to CA (50 job postings went up yesterday)
$123 mil to MD (new site: Maryland Health Connection | )
$100 mil to NY
and what the hell is Hawaii getting $62 mil for, can't they just latch on to california's exchange infrastructure. That's about $60 per resident.
They keep coming up with the money to fund this bad boy, I would assume the same for subsidies.
