Hi everyone. I have been selling life and health insurance since 1996. I live in Georgia and have a wife of 15 years and two awesome boys. I started out with Bankers Life and Casualty back in '96 and stepped out on my own in '99 with no support or friends that were independent. I struggled hard my first year but haven't looked back since. I work mostly the senior market doing Med Supps, Final Expense, and Annuities.
I started out mostly doing MedSupps because of the great renewals, but the last couple of years have moved more heavily into the FE market and I love it. I have been searching for new marketing (lead) ideas and found this site while researching that. I have tried contacting jdeasy's company but they are shut down with the weather in Dallas, so I can't wait for the first of the week to talk to them. The last couple of years have been a little lean due to inadequate marketing. I have been spending a lot of time this year getting that turned around. We all know if you don;t have anyone to see, you ain't selling no 'surance!
I look forward to learning from those that know more than I do and helping those that are just getting their start. This is a great business and it is in my blood - my father was a very successful insurance man for 35 years before he was taken in a car accident in 1999. I am also a professional sax player and love hunting and NASCAR (yes, I'm a redneck, and the 48 is for the 5time Champ - Jimmie Johnson). I am also the band leader at my church.
I look forward to getting to know you guys. Thanks for having me.
