Mischaracterization . . .

Supplement pays after Medicare and only pays what is first approved by Medicare. It is Medicare that is denying the charge, not the supplement plan.

I think you misunderstood the article . Whats hurting them is they only get paid if transporting the patient to the hospital . It says 25% of ambulance calls the person never goes to the hospital so they get nothing. When they bill that person they never get paid . Last yr i had an a situation were the guy went to the emergency room for chest pains . He refused to stay for more tests and walked out . The mapd denied the claim as it “wasn’t an emergency “ as he walked out bebefore they finished their test . He refused treatment
