I noticed two offices in agent owned dealerships....I suggested it to Allstate 20 years ago. Come to think of it, I also recommended laptop computers too. Idiots ignored the recommendation. Do you think, not playing Golf had something to do with it?...If your slow you blow.:GEEK:

not a target market, usually lapses and have billing issues which means service issues

Most likely newbies and their district managers told them they could make millions doing it,

they are drinking the kool aid

Ya traditionally dealership referrals aren't good business. BUT if the agent owns the dealership, I would think he could definitely use that to create a system to quote a high % of people coming through the door.

Not everybody buying a car is bad business, it's the one's who don't have prior insurance etc & need coverage on the spot. I bought 2 new cars this year & on both occasions you're just sitting around...waiting...waiting...waiting. My gosh out of sheer boredom I would think most people would say SURE..why not.

That being said I hate Farmer's as they're popping up agents everywhere. I've seen first hand what Farmer's did to Indy's over the years & I'd hate to be married to them as a captive.

God..I really HATE captives.

I've never sold much personal so no need to chew me out. Don't people have to have good credit to buy a new car?

hell no, they will give a car to anyone, i heard they charge something stupid like 28% interest, a car is easy to repo compared to repo-ing a house.....
