For those of you that use thank you cards, etc to follow up on clients....On what occassions do u send cards to get the best results?? I'm assuming it would be the Thank you right after the sale, Bday, Holidays, and.....??? Anything else I'm missing or should consider??

When I have a new client, I put them into the automated campaign at Send Out Cards that I set up one time.

For Medicare Supplement clients, my campaign currently does the following.

1) Sends immediate Thank You card
2) Sends follow-up card 3 days later, "Peeking in on you" humorous card to see if they have outstanding questions. Makes them feel great!
3) Seven days after initial send, card is sent following up telling them that Underwriting is processing their application
4) Birthday card goes out automatically 5 days before their birthday - whenever it is, with a personalized card with their name inside, etc.

Then manual cards can be send to ALL existing clients, based on which category the contact has been put into. ie. Medicare clients get a card, personalized with their name in MY handwriting to update them on Part B deductible change.

Sending one card to 1,000 people takes 5 minutes. Just design the card and click which category of folks to send to and it's off....

Same for Christmas cards and Thanksgiving cards. Everyone sees a card with their name on it and my family photo in it (as appropriate).

Oh, and on Medicare renewals, I have a hilarious card of a baby grimacing on the front. Inside it says, "Bad news is..." and Good news is... They really enjoy that card each time I send them out when it's time. Takes two seconds, as they're already in the system.

If I didnt know any better, Id think u were selling me SOC (which I already have)....but I wouldnt need # 2 & 3 in FE Ins. I was just trying to get a sense of what/how most ppl in FE Ins follow up with their clients??

Letters and phone calls. Also every time I get a notice that they contacted the HO. I call or write them. Same for every annual report and conversion letter. I got three referral this week alone form clients. Can not tell you how many times I call Mrs Client to just say hi and she says "Oh hi Wino, I was thinking about calling you".

You are smart to contact your clients.

The SOC cards are pretty cool.

Chris is an expert on SOC and the system. You should see have the cards he has made and use.
