Federal Health Exchanges Hope to Register Over 1/4 Million Producers

The federal Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995

Now THAT's funny!

Wonder how they came up with 254,095? And have you seen the agencies that will be involved with HIX?

An exchange program "Data Services Hub" will help exchanges get eligibility information and check applications by pulling data from the Internal Revenue Service, the Social Security Administration, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Peace Corps and the federal Office of Personnel Management.

The Peace Corp?

Or as BHO says, Peace Corpse.

"Hope to Register..." What a laugh. Wasn't that Obama's campaign theme, "Keep Hope Alive", or something like that?

One thing for sure is that I won't certify to sell anything connected with a government owned exchange (state or fed) without reading and understanding every word in the agreement.

But first and foremost, there must be renewal commissions, because as broker-of-record, we will be expected to service the clients, just like we do now. No way I'm taking on that multi-year responsibility for a $58 one time, per-application enrollment fee, like the "highly trained" navigators will receive.

Our arrogant government probably thinks that we (the brokers) are drooling at the mouth to sign on with these exchanges. They'll soon find out that we are as smart (or even smarter) than United Health Care, Humana, etc.. They're not tripping over each other to get into the exchanges, and neither will we!:skeptical:

P.S. I think the forum moderator should move this thread to the "Health Insurance Reform" category.

I apologize for not placing this thread in the correct place. It looks like Bill started a similar thread there, so this thread will have to die on its own I guess.

If its any consolation Steve, your posts' title is more attention grabbing to surfers who scan the forum for serious news.
