First interview for an Insurance Agent job

Hey everyone,

I am setting up a job interview next week. This will be my first intrerview with an insurance company. It is called UGA, and I recall seeing some discussion somewhere in the forums about them.

I have been to their website and of course it looks great as they all do i'm sure. From what I have read it will be selling insurance to small business and the self employed. I am still doing some research on the company.

Even if I do get a job there and I do not like it, or I find that it is just not for me, at least i'll know. Or it could be a stepping stone for something bigger (if it turns out that it is not going to be a great career for me). Oh the excitment!!! :err:

Just read a few of these, search this forum for three or four links, then decide whether or not you can sleep at night after having sold some of this excrement to unsuspecting people. If you can, go ahead. Just make sure you take plenty of cold cream and burn ointment with you to Haydes......

Does this mean you have a strong dislike for UGA??? Not that I disagree! :twitchy:

I am thinking that you are going to do fine at the interview and be just what they are looking for. The ones that they are not looking for are people who have learned to duck when someone swings a baseball bat rather than saying, "gee, even if I get hit with that bat, it will be a growth experience."

You are going to get hit with many, many bats anyway even after you thoroughly check out different companies. Try to avoid the ones where two minutes of google search would save you.

Welcome. Most of us here are over 90% scar tissue from having been hit with bats.

True! True! Oh how true. If you will do a through search about any company you may consider interviewing with on this site it can save you a lot of grief or at least wasted time and wheel spinning.
