Hey guys,

This is my 1st post. I am 19 yrs. old and just received my PC license. I'm currently employed with a State Farm Agent here in TX. The agent has been in the top 10 of the company for several years now and is also in the MDRT. I hope to learn plenty from him and open an independent agency by the time I am 21 yrs. old.

I'd appreciate any advice from everyone in the forum. I hope to acquire as much knowledge that I can before I set out on my own.

My sister is in school this week to get her P and C Lic.

I was about your age when I got in this business.

This is a career and not a job. As long as you treat it as a career, you will do fine.

Learn as much as you can from that other guy. Help him with his business and learn at the same time.

the agent started when he was 24 or 25 i think.

im in college right now majoring in accounting...21 seems like a good age after gaining 2 yrs. of experience
