Foremost Stopped Appointing Auto?

Need some sub carriers for auto other than progressive in NY any ideas?

When Farmers bought bristol west, they told farmers agents that BW would NOT be appointing any new IA agents.

Funny how they hound me constantly to sign up with them, just ANOTHER lie in the farmers hat.

Try Dairyland, infinity, PGA, Titan, UAIC, there are a bunch of them, not sure whats in your state.

Easiest method, Look up some IA agents in your area, and see what carriers they have.....not rocket science

Dairyland/Viking and Infinity were pretty easy for me to get appointed with here in TX when no one else would appoint me.

We are a long established agency here in San Diego, but they told us as well that they are not accepting any agents this year.

So I wouldn't take it personal.

A little off topic but did you guys ever come across clients that only want "big named" companies for auto. Big names like the one they only see on tv. I'm having trouble with the less marketed carriers. They all tell me me I haven't heard of them what if they don't pay claims?

I had a client that chose to pay more for Progressive even though Foremost was cheaper because of the name. I didn't complain though.

My main carrier is regional and only writes in 11 states I think but they are well known in my area. If someone has questions about them I just send JD Power articles or AM Best rankings. Use your carrier's marketing links or just find good writeups online. Your client can find bad press on any carrier with a quick google search...

Yeah for my nonstandard the name recognition comes up. Everyone pretty much knows the names of my preferred companies. Well the preferred clients know the names, substandard clients only know the captives and Progressive.
