I've been following your forums for a few months trying to get a "flavor" of the industry. I was offered a position doing commercial P&C in MA...contingent on getting my licenses ( which I got and got the job).
So...you guys didn't scare me away...and many posts have been very educational.
I guess that's a long winded way to say "hello".

Welcome!

We appreciate new members who take the time to sell us a little about themselves.
Ok...you asked for it.
In a nutshell:
51 y/o former motorcycle racer turned bicycle racer.
Many years of sales(retail and b2b) to IT to IT sales to moto parts design.
The moto industry dried up.
I took a couple of "what do you want to be when you grow up" tests that said "insurance agent" as a good choice.
2 days later, a friend who had bought an agency stopped by my house and asked me if I'd ever thought about selling insurance.(insert Twilight Zone music here)
He put together a "success" package for me...contingent on my license.
I went into boot camp mode to learn the industry ( or at least the tip of the iceberg), get licensed, get settled in here....and hit the streets/phone.
That's me in a nutshell.

So...what would you do next if you were me?

Last but not least, welcome to the forums. We hope you enjoy your stay
