Well I have been working in the insurance business.....off and on since 2002, but not consistently. I currently have an active life & health insurance license, working toward getting my property & casualty license....through Kaplan.

I'm not sure if Pekin is in your state and I have no idea how competitive they are for auto and home, but they're competitive on Med Supps and Simplified Issue Whole Life. They're for the Independent Agent.
