nice. Though I need to talk to my upline. When I first signed the contract I was told it would be 22%. When I got the paperwork it was much lower...wtf

I could make a WAG who that is. I'll also bet that he didn't include a commission schedule when he sent you the contracts so you could see, in black and white, how much you would be earning.

All agents who contract with me receive a commission schedule showing the commissions I offer in every state the company is in.

Beware of "smooth talkers" who use smoke and mirrors to entice agents to contract with them. If you are getting substantially less than 22% you have probably just been screwed. No sense in holding your breath waiting for the kiss that should follow. It ain't coming.

Life's tuition can be very expensive.

While I have doubts that Gerber would be spending the money to ramp up production for only May effective dates, their commissions will not be a percentage in Florida at all, once finally approved for the modernized plans. It will be a flat rate per case (ie $250), similar to the AARP model for Florida.

We're all waiting to see what Alex Sink will do regarding their modernized filing. There are two other carriers filing for Florida that we're waiting on, too, and both of these others are doing the same thing - the flat rate commission structure.

We all need a really good alternative here in Florida, but Tallahassee does not seem to be cooperating.
