Getting into FE in NYC

Thanks all for such a wonderful forum.

I'm a life agent looking to go into FE in Brooklyn New York City, I contacted a few companies, most carriers don't do business in NY, I spoke with Securus, and thinking of going with them, I would like to hear feedback of anyone selling FE in NYC, which company they are using & how its working out for them.

Are you looking for a captive shop or just contracts?

United American, Columbian, Presidential, Foresters and I think at least one other carrier do FE in NY.

I'm looking for contract with Indy, also looking for more warm leads that showed interest in buying FE, like Securus has their mailing leads.

I'm looking for contract, and to get leads that have shown interest in final expense.

You're probably not going to get what you want. Anyone in NY I ever ran across doing a lead program was a snake. You're probably better off doing your own mail and taking a high contract.

I spent years in NY and ran into a lot of shops, but it's the nature of the beast. If you think there is a good one out there then by all means go for it, but 1,000:1 you're going to end up regretting it.

OOH! OOH! Let me answer the 2nd part of this!

Securus tells agents so many lies that I don't think they know what the truth is anymore!

Securus: Yep, our leads are exclusive and never resold.

Us: Then why did you sell me old leads?

Securus: Yep, we'll release you if you ask.

Us: The why can't I get you to send me a release?

These aren't the only two things, but enough.

I get these things from agents who call me looking to move from Securus because they promised the world and delivered nothing.

If you want to go with an organization that is structured like that, go with EFES.

I'll go even further than that. If you go with EFES, try to go with Travis Tubbs' group. He'll do you right.

Don't go with Shannon Davy's (sp?) group because he has already proven to me that he will lie to you in a heartbeat!

(Okay, come on all you from Shannon's group and let me have it for saying that).
