Are there any AGLA agents willing to offer some advice or feedback on the training process with this company. I am planning to join the team and I wanted to know what current AGLA agents have to say about their company. I'm new to insurance and I realize their will be growing pains but what's the pros and cons of this company...in your opinion??

You can do better or you can do worse depending on the local office. However, it is a place to get your feet wet.

Very unique product, a great comp. plan, if you can sell. If don't have a marketing system in place, don't expect them to give you one, because if they already had one in place, they wouldn't need to hire you.

you guys have some great products, however, some people still remember the financial crisis in 2008, and that may scare some of your prospects off....good luck to you!

I represent them as an independent agent and show it to everyone of my clients, no one has even asked about who they are, they do not ask if they are affiliated with AIG. I just say they are an A rated carrier thats all they want to hear.

If the person is really investment savvy and into all of those details then it might come up. But I wouldn't not go with them because of that, those type of clients are very few and far between. Peole love this concept for Term policies. If they want/need to buy term, why wouldn't they choose AGLA over your standard Term policy with no living benefits?

Some say that the AGLA policy doesn't make it easy to qualify for the pay out on living benefits. Not sure if that is true. But 1 thing is for sure, atleast the policy offers it and when you do qualify it will come in very handy.
