Hello from D-Town. I am a licensed agent of 5 years. I have previously worked with American Express, MetLife, Aflac, World Financial Group (WFG), NAA (very briefly actually never contracted with any of their companies), and a few others. I found this site from another site after doing research about NAA. I here to network, make friends, and hopefully learn more about the insurance field. I am fully licensed: Life/Health, P&C, Series 7 and Series 66. I reside in Dallas, currently not working in the insurance industry but I am looking to get back into the industry on a part time basis. My ultimate goal is to go into law, estate planning, to be exact. Who knows? If I can break into insurance better this go around, those plans may change. I did not have a "warm market" so to speak prior when I started 5 years ago. I still do not have a warm market in which to build a client base. Due to many of past endeavors, I have burned a lot of bridges over the years, which in the insurance industry I have learned is not a good thing to do. But I am open to any advice that some of the veterans have to offer. I am looking to partner with a company direct and eventually get back into the variable side of insurance and annuities if possible. So any advice will be welcomed. I take all things with a grain of salt and respect the source that it comes from. Thank you all in advance.

You sound like me 5 years ago. I have been working full-time in the insurance/ investment business for the past 9 years; and I am currently in my 2nd year of law school. Good luck to you and we are glad to have you on here.

Thank you. What type of law are you studying? How does it fit your current career in the insurance industry?
