Has Anyone Every Heard of Assurant Solutions??

I ran into a policy that was just written from them and they have apparently approved this lady with COPD with an immediate benefit at a pretty low price. I read that Monumental will approve COPD with standard rates but have any of you ran in to Assurant Solutions?

It's a new version of the American Memorial product. Slightly lower rates. I think the agents are clean-sheeting it pretty bad from what I heard. He probably just had her lie about the COPD. I don't know for sure but I don't think they accept that.

It's the new favorite product for the remaining Securus agents.

the client said she completed a PHI and I asked her if they told her if she was approved over the phone and she said yes. But she's been prescribed the inhaler for COPD within the last 2 years. So...I'm scratching my head on this one....I have several companies but I don't have anything in my bag that can do that.

Did she answer yes or no to the COPD question?

If you get to review her policy, see if that question is checked yes or no. There's your answer.

I thought Assurant was Oxford???

The Assurant Company is the newer name for the old Fortis Financial and they bought American Memorial.

Oxford brands their FE product with the name Assurant. But it's not part of the Assurant company.

Oxford uses "Assurance".

They suck.

I came across a clean-sheeted American Memorial Assurance policy a month or two ago.

She told me when she called to cancel the product, the customer service people attempted to conserve the policy and rebutt her a few times.

She said she was in a contestable period and never should have been issued the product; the customer service rep said since she is approved, she won't have any problems (!).

I just ran across one this week. It was just written. The lady hadn't had her first draft yet. She was pretty healthy so I don't know if the agent clean sheeted it not. She didn't have the policy yet. I put her with RNA and we did the phone interview. When we called to cancel the policy the person on the phone was quite helpful and didn't put up and fight to conserve.

But she did tell me that she had to do a phone interview. So if an agent is clean sheeting it then the client is in on it. Just because the agent may lie on the application doesn't mean the client has to also lie unless they are in on the lie.

Leaving information off the app that would cause it to be declined.:skeptical:

As I just responded, they have to do a phone interview. The agent is not solely to blame if the person just goes along with the farce.
