Hello from Beautiful Southern Illinois!

Hi All,

I am a new agent (just passed IL Life & Health last week) with MWA in Salem, Illinois, and very excited to get going with a new career in this industry.

Though financial rep rookie, I have more than 20 years of solid background in sales, marketing, and networking, but have never had the opportunity to work in this field until now.

I am hoping to get to know many of you, and learn with fire under foot.

What have you found to be the most beneficial area of using this forum?

Looking forward to being a productive member of the community!

Be safe,
JimRhino

I am still trying to figure that out myself.

I'm sure you'll meet a few people that will have good insight to the products that you need the most help with. Their advice will be quite valuable...as long as they are not selling anything. (ILIAH and IHIAL are fine). OK...I know I have those letters botched. Maybe somebody can post the correct ones.

Welcome. I find marketing ideas and product discussion to be helpful.
Also, the forum can help you to avoid costly mistakes (i.e. "I'm going to spend hundreds weekly on internet leads and become a millionaire!!!" <--- and other nonsense like that).

Most spammers are identified and thrashed.

Welcome to the forum. No offense but I lived in "beautiful Southern Illinois" for 13 years not too far from Salem. After I moved in 1990 I never missed it even one day. In my book it is a good place to be "from".

LOL...no offense taken. I have lived elsewhere, but ended up my middle school and high school life in Centralia. I could hardly wait to get away, but when it came time to raise my children, Salem (where my bride is from) ended up being called home. It's a great place to raise a family, and is only a little more than an hour from an International Airport...life is grand. :)
