Hello everyone! I am new to this forum, but I am looking forward to getting to know a lot of you much better.

I am very excited about this forum for a few reasons. I have been in the insurance business for a few years now, but I have recently bought out my mother-in-law's book of business and merged our companies. I am currently 26 years old, so I am a young gun in the insurance world. As of right now I am the only one in the office, and I am doing well. However, I am very interested in taking my company to the next level. I know there is much to be learned when it comes to hiring, training, and developing a culture among staff. I am also kind of a control freak at the moment since I handle all of the claims, customer service, marketing, sales, etc. I am very interested in hearing how many of you took your company to the next level in terms of growth and hiring quality agents and csr's/office staff.

Thanks for reading my first post!

I look forward to talking with and getting to know many of you in the near future!!

I am in Ft. Wayne, up in Northeastern Indiana. Where are you down south?

Either of you see the IU game Sunday?!

I am in the Evansville area. Unfortunately, I am a UK grad and not a big IU fan but it is a better year to be a Hoosier fan than a Wildcat. I am just waiting for next year.

I am actually probably closer than 20 miles! My office is right off of 24, near Homestead High School. Where exactly are you in Huntington?

After I posted the IU comment, I wondered with you being in southern Indiana if you were not an IU fan.

Have they decided to squash their problems and play next year. I love the IU/UK games, they are always intense.

We are probably less than 15 mile away from each other. I live between Huntington and Roanoke. My wife loves Oleys buffet at lunch time. Is that where your office is?

Not to my knowledge. Calipari was smart not playing IU this year. Next year would be different but for now the series is off.
