Hello everyone. My name's Jeremy. I decided to join this forum because I want to try my hand at insurance sales. I've gone over all the "what it takes to be an agent" stuff and I'm ready to commit. I actually looked into becoming an agent years ago but due to my financial status I had to postpone the idea..And moved to a different state. At the time, I was actually ready to take the exam in Missouri but couldn't even come up with 100 dollars. Now I'm in a much better position - living rent free. Right now is the perfect opportunity for me to try this.

Anyway, what do you guys recommend the best way for me to (re)learn what I need to know for Kansas? I had a PASS book for Missouri but, from an initial half-ass search, I'm not really sure where to find one for Kansas. I know I sound lazy, but I wondering if this is even the best way to go about it? Also, do you think I could just use the Missouri book and find the differences for Kansas online somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Living rent free? Why am I picturing you living in your mother's basement?

However, if you really want a career don't look for shortcuts on studying and taking the exam. A licensing course (which damn near guarantees you'll pass) can't cost more than $200.

If you want to save the $200, I suggest you learn where all the items are located at WalMart and apply for a job.

Actually I live rent free in exchange for helping a quadrapalegic guy. Money is no issue now. I'm not looking for shortcuts, just a point in the right direction. I haven't REALLY looked into it yet because I'm still looking in to how health care reform is going to change things.
