Hello from Metro Detroit

Hello,

I am glad to be here on the forums. My wife and I have decided to shift careers and enter the insurance business in the very new future. I am brand new to the business but have a strong background in sales and account management/book of business as well as business management. I am also highly experienced in customer service, and all forms of advertising and marketing

I had a brief run as a banker with JPMorgan Chase a few years ago, but decided it wasn't for me. I left before I could ever even get licensed for insurance but complete the series 6 and 63

I am in the information gathering phase and will be trying to figure out what type of agent I wish to be. My goals are to become a fixture in my community, provide good coverage for people that need it, and earn a comfortable living for my family. I am extremely intrigued by being my own boss, and hiring/developing employees.

For a long time I have felt like I could be more than just an employee, and as I get older I am feeling a great need to serve others with my work.

I'm looking forward to meeting fellow and aspiring agents and learning as I begin this new journey.
