Hello Everyone,

I'm a licensed life, health and annuities broker in Pa, the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area to be exact. Relatively new to the insurance business just about a year under my belt. I'm very excited for the start of the new year, I'm in the process of launching my website, will post the link when it is up an running. I'm actively seeking new ideas for to market my business, and any suggestions would be awesome. As of right now I am contracted with three different carriers ( Foresters, Am General, and Old Mutual) and I'm waiting to hear from Mutual of Omaha. I'm also looking to open my own agency, but that's going to come later down the road as I need build up my client base and research the process to become a legal agency. Anyone in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area that holds a Property and Casualty license and is interested in starting an agency, let me know and we'll talk.

Weclome to the forum. I'm from PA as well, I live in harrisburg. Where Chumps grew up at. My brother lives in Wilkes-Barre and I will be heading up that way over the holidays. He's a client of mine, so try not to market to him.

I don't believe Harrisburg got any, Ed. Boy did we get clobbered in Philly area----second largest snowfall on record: 23.2 inches! Only January 7-8, 1996 was larger (30.7 inches) since records have been kept starting in 1884.

I had about 8" and I'm close to I-83 in harrisburg. That is hardly nothing compared to Philly.
