Hello from South Florida

I would like to take this opportunity and introduce myself. I am a newly licensed in Florida: (2-15) Life, Health, And Variable Annuity. I live in the Fort Lauderdale area. My primary interest is in Life insurance. I have been in the construction industry for 26 years, 15 years at the executive level. Currently I have been interviewing with NY Life, Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Aflac, American General Life and Accident Insurance Company, and John Hancock Financial – "The Partners Network". I wasted a couple of weeks with AIL (Torchmark), that's another story … lol! I have found this forum to be very interesting and informative. With no experience in this industry I believe I am better suited to get the proper training from an established company, along with name recognition. The problem that I see from these companies is that they want you to do the "Project 100 – 200", before you have your contract in place – Home office approval / endorsement. If the home office says c-ya!, then you just gave up some of your contacts. Ultimately I would like to be an independent agent.
Thank you in advance for your comments!
