Hello all,

My name is Matt Nelson, and for the past 5 years I have been working as an account executive with an Arizona GA, Black, Gould & Associates.

I am also privileged to serve my state and country in the Arizona National Guard's aviation branch, when I need a break from the exciting and dangerous confines of the insurance world. ;)

Glad to be on the board, and if anyone in Arizona has questions about individual health plans, or working with a GA, I'd be happy to lend my two cents.

Regards,
-Matt

Welcome aboard.

Hello Tucson. There are a few of us here on this forum from Phoenix. I know Black Gould & Assoc. well, and it's good to have you here on the forum!

Thanks everyone - appreciate the welcome. Glad to hear about the positive experiences with BGA - I've definitely enjoyed the past few years here.

And Chumps - La Paloma and Ventana Canyon are great resorts. I swing up there to play golf (poorly) on occasion. Some of the prettiest parts of Tucson for sure. Who is your sister? Probably have worked with her in some capacity around town...the industry is developed down here, but still has that small town thing going on.

"She works for American Family so you probably do not know her."

Sorry to hear that. I used to be a captured agent with AmFam for 7 years, but went independent about 9 months ago. Best move I ever made.

Hopefully, she's gotten some policies transferred to her during her time there. I know when they went into AZ several years ago, their rates were really good. (It seems whenever AmFam went into a new state they would always try to immediately capture some market share). Last I heard their rates went up, so hopefully she's still competitive.

Here in IL when I left, we could still write a few auto, but the home was way high. Even if someone had perfect credit it was still tough to write.

Glad I'm free...

Chumps & Matt - There's no doubt that those resorts are the shining star of Tucson. You know Phoenix & Tucson have that "Big Brother / Little Brother" thing going on. We cringe whenever the Wildcats prove to us that "Little Brother" is tougher. Chumps, I thought you'd like that, since you enjoy following sports.
