Hello There from a Prospective Agent...

I've been lurking here for a while and thought I'd post something here to introduce myself.

My name is Jonathan Schultz from North Dakota. I've been around the insurance industry my entire life as my father sells group benefits and has been doing so for the last 20+ years and my mother just recently got into the business as well selling individual and med supp policies predominantly.

I'm needing a change of pace in my employment and thought that an industry that I could possibly get a firm foothold as well as hopefully get some good training between the two of them if they'd be willing to help me out.

I know they had talked about hiring me previously for an enroller type position so they could work more on the administrative end of things and then I could go out and explain the benefits to the people that were newly hired in the offices that they have contracts with and get a cut of commission and then if I sold any supplemental policies that weren't in their guaranteed benefits that I'd get all of that commission. Then our wonderful President was elected and they got scared for their business - which doesn't surprise me in the least - but now they're not quite as scared about it.

Anyways, I'm hoping to succeed in this business. I'm in the process of studying for my Life & Health license and made it my goal to take the exam by tax day.

I've been working in call centers during my working career in sales of cable TV service and troubleshooting of phone, internet, and satellite television as well as in healthcare with patient questions for a national convenient care clinic company.

Anyways, that's a brief rundown, just thought I'd stop and say Hi!
