Help- Broward County Florida Home Owners Insurance INSANITY

We have a 300K home for sale in Broward county that should sell easily. Problem is, the Home Owners Insurance in Broward County for New Buyers is over $4,000 per year. We lost 2 potential buyers once they found this out.

I was told by my Current Insurer that My insurance will stay at $1,700 per year but the carrier won't take new applications and won't transfer my policy! A new buyer has no option but to pay the $4,000.

Any help would be super appreciated!

How close to the coast are you? NOt familiar with any carrier who will transfer a policy

Unfortunately, home owners policies are not transferable. Our average home owners premium down there is right around $4k.
