I would like to be a resource to P&C Agents. I have done a lot of the grueling marketing on behalf of brokers so I can provide a lot of insight on industry marketing tactics :1wink:

Are you currently a P&C Agent or a Call Center Project Manager?

Re: Hi :)

We are both producers and do telemarketing campaigns as well. However we have agents convert the business for us so we focus mainly on driving new business over binding policies themselves.

Re: Hi :)

In all marketing campaigns I believe planning is the most important. Anyone can make calls and spend time on a campaign. How it is designed will determine its success before a single call or mailer is sent. Some things not to forget.

1. Be honest to yourself - What kind of agent are you. What can you do with a smile. Don't solicit lines of insurance you hate.

2. Know your Agency - What risks are ideal for your carriers. Which ones are most competitive for which risks?

3. Plan ahead - Don't waste valuable time and money on generalized marketing. Shoot for your target market.

4. Record Everything - Save all the information you collect along the way. All renewal dates. Policy Information, Proper DM's contact information etc... This will come in handy next year when their renewals come around again.

5. Be nice to EVERYONE you meet. Never know when you will need their influence.

Good advice. I particularly like the last one.
