I am a new life insurance agent working for an IMO that offers training, support and leads. I am more of a face to face person and prefer speaking to people in person rather than on the phone. I would like to do seminars or some type of educational classes in order to build trust and relationships. I can also do newsletters and social media. I'm looking for a good niche that I could focus on but not sure which way to go. I was thinking about mortgage protection, final expense and/or annuities. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Of those three market focus, I'd stay away from annuities, unless you already know EXACTLY what you're doing and/or until the DOL ruling has passed/finalized.

Final expense may not be the "seminar crowd" you're looking for.

Mortgage protection can work, but I'd recommend getting more comprehensive than just "covering the mortgage". I'd pick up this tool kit here:
