Highest Commissions

Does anyone know which IMO/FMO is paying the highest commissions for UHC, Humana, & Assurant? If so what are the highest commissions?

Or is it better to go direct to the Carriers?

Due to 2 bad experiences with FMO's deciding to stop paying me over the past 10 years, I always recommend contracting directly with the carrier(s). There was no difference is the commission percentages one way or the other.. in my experience. -ac

In many cases going direct with the carrier will not get the agent the highest percent of commission.

Why would an agent have to worry about getting paid or not getting paid unless the agent assigned their commissions? I'm in the life and health market and I would never, under any circumstances consider assigning my commissions. I want to be the agent of record and own all the business I write.

Many companies, since I don't know what kind of insurance we are talking about, won't even let an agent go direct anymore.
