I am the owner and sole producer for an independent agency writing only residential property and flood insurance.
I've started my agent 7 years ago and have grown my book to around 1,400 PIF.
For the life of me I can't find a best practices checklist to refine my compliance guidelines. Being the sole producer, I want to make sure my compliance processes are as solid as possible to avoid E&O exposure. Just as important, I want to make sure my clients are protected to the best of my ability. I've even spoken with attorneys who have no input! I
I've never had a complaint filed against me or E&O issue, however, the larger I get I'm certain something will happen being we live in such a litigious society.
Any thoughts would be appricated.
