She even sent me the letter. It's going from 212 dollars to 1,356.

WTF!!!

I have them on the E-HSA that I thought was ACA compliant...guess not!

And it's within the 12 month rate lock period, as well.

Man, things are not looking good...

Anyone else have crazy **** like this happen to them yet?

I had one go from $300 to $1200. They weren't really happy about that. He turns 65 next June. Wife doesn't go 65 until 2015.

Nothing issued so far is Ocare compliant. You won't see those until 2014.

Right, the problem is that rates were guaranteed for 12 months, had no lifetime max, etc.

There is trouble ahead...but we already knew that. It's going to be a bloodbath...glad I hardly write HI any longer.

Ocare got in the way of the rate guarantee. That plan doesn't have EHB, maternity, mental health parity. . . .

Yea, that's the kicker. I can't wait to start getting all these calls from irate clients asking me WTF is going on.

What. A. Mess.

The Illinois Director of Insurance has forbid ALL companies from adjusting health policy renewal dates in order to avoid the ObamaScare premium madness until 2015.

But the health insurers are giving our state D.O.I. the middle finger and doing it anyway. Including HUMANA..which was approved to be on our state exchange. In fact, Humana is doing the smart thing and defaulting to an extension to 12/30/2014, unless the client requests otherwise.

If Humana would adjust the renewal date in our hard-nosed state, I don't understand why they wouldn't do it in all the others..including where Greg and Somarco live?

Humana was the only carrier at least in Florida that you had to call in to keep your current policy. Perhaps your client didn't?

Made no sense to me. H1 required you to opt in to your current plan for another year.

Probably someone from the obama admin made that decision.

I've asked Humana to explain why they aren't honoring the 12 month rate lock that was the main reason that I sold these plans.

This should be good...
