Humana Fl client me today..just recvd letter from Humana stating "stay w/plan A ($370 Mo) or switch to plan B ($685 Mo) - I clld Humana & was told that if client does not reply by 12/31/13, existing plan (humana HSA) will be terminated- WTF, maybe I'm out of the loop but do I need to contact all clients to let them know that they MUST call & opt for a plan? Opt letter looks like junk mail so most ppl aren't even going to read-very sneaky!!

Nothing sneaky about it. You are just not in touch. This is old news for some of us, and I've already spoke to 20+ of my humana clients. Maybe you should have been on their webinar earlier this week.

LEE, just a short ways down the list of threads in this forum, you'll find a lengthy HUMANA discussion regarding the renewal issue... Always good to do a search and add to exiting threads before starting a new one. You'll get "nicer" responses that way.

Here's a direct link to that thread:

What parts of Florida is Humana strong in? I haven't run into anyone in at least 4 years up here in the panhandle that has humana individual and very few with Med Advantage.

I imagine Orlando to Tampa and Miami is competitive for all the company's. Humana has a fairly decent size office here. Lost a med advantage to a lying agent from there the other day. He told the prospect all hospital's were provider's when in fact only one of the three are now. I don't know why prospects don't call provider's before signing up on any plan? One dropped out Aug 1 and Humana sent policy holder's a letter that they dropped them when in fact the hospital kicked them out.
