Just wanted to share a quick news item...
AHIP CEO Karen Ignagni is leaving the trade association to become CEO of insurance company EmblemHealth in New York.
Ignagni has been a powerhouse in the health insurance industry for decades and is one of the most visible women in the lobbying industry.

Ignagni received roughly $2 million in compensation in 2013, according to the most recent available tax filings. The trade association spent $9.2 million on lobbying in 2014,

Is it just me or does this seem a bit lopsided?

Ignagni is widely credited for the productive relationship between insurers and the Obama administration in implementing the Affordable Care Act.
