I've been lurking around here and gathering information. There's a lot going on here! I'm hoping to learn a lot and also contribute any where and way I can.
I'm actually a usability and user experience expert who over the past 10 years has done work for several insurance companies to improve both their back-end and front-end software. I'm always looking for ways to make website and application interaction better for everyone by improving the usability and user experience.
Seeing as I seem to be hired by insurance companies over and over again, I thought it might be wise to join here and participate...because the more I understand what you do and how you do it, the better I can do my job the next time I'm hired by one.
Reading up on likes and dislikes, hearing how you enjoy or struggle with various insurance-related software will definitely contribute to my improvement and hopefully, your improvement someday if you find yourself interacting with a particularly well-thought-out website or piece of software (that I had a hand in designing, of course)
That said, I am intrigued by the insurance business. I have taken a couple LOMA courses, and maybe, someday, I'll feel competent enough to become an agent myself.
