Hello all,
I wanted to create this thread as a place for discussion regarding information on insuring the hospitality and recreation industries. While this segment is a large part of our collective expenditure, there isn't much literature on common pitfalls, challenges or characteristics which make business harder/easier to write. For clarity, the niche I am looking to pursue is smaller boutique hotels, bed & breakfasts, inns and related businesses in vacation destinations.
If anyone has any insight into industry specifics regarding endorsements/additional coverages that separate the competition, common characteristics making a risk ineligible or more favorable to underwriting, proven prospecting strategies or any other nuggets of wisdom, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
