Hey guys, question. What is your opinion on providing insurance for a house ... that is half mobile mobile home, and half regular home?
MORE DETAILS: I am dealing with two of these now, but both are very nice - relatively speaking. Both houses have been "built around" an existing mobile home. The siding from the main house extends perfectly around the mobile home, and the roof trusses/framing has been rebuilt so it completely covers the mobile home. You would not be able to tell a mobile home even exists there...unless you are looking for it. In one case, the county doesn't even acknowledge that a mobile home was ever there, and in another case they do.
Even a couple of insurance companies I spoke to seem confused about it - but both ultimately said set them up as a mobile home for insurance purposes. So that's the way I plan on doing it.
But what do you guys think...?
