It's Time to Upgrade Your Browser

Just thought I'd spread the word...

If you're using Internet Explorer 6 or 7, it's time to upgrade to IE 8. Besides getting a faster, more secure browsing experience, Microsoft will also donate 8 meals to Feeding America for every person that upgrades. It won't cost you a dime, but you'll be doing some good.

One thing i HATE about IE8 is that the Google Tool bar is not compatible. I have to reinstall it every day.

microsoft keeps asking me to automatically update to IE8, and I install IE8, but for some reason it does not work.
So I install it, go to the control panel & delete IE8.
And continue to run ie7, which works great.
got to love microsoft.

I installed IE8 a few months ago and it was not compatable with many companies that I get info from. I had to uninstall it and go back to IE7 for things to work right.

The local geek at the computer shop told me to not install IE* again and I won't have the problems. I followed his advice and I haven't had those problems.

There's no free food involved, but if you're having IE problems, it might be time to switch to Firefox (Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable).

Or dodge the Microsoft bullet altogether and upgrade to a Mac with Safari. Apples definitely aren't free food, though.

I know many carriers' online tools require IE so there might not be much of a choice.
