Hi,

I just passed my P&C exam and need to get a job. I live in Anaheim near Disneyland area. Any suggestions? Should I work for a retail location? or Should I go with the big companies?

Incidentally I passed my Life, health & accident licenses, as well.

Thanks in Advance
Oclife;)

WOW, so you studied, spent the money, passed the tests and have no clue what to do from here?

I see a very successful business owner in your future.

If you're looking to sell...

Since you are new to the business I would go somewhere that will provide you with excellent training..

Liberty Mutual has a great training program and they pay a base as well as comm.

Other popular captive companies like state farm, all-state, nationwide, you would be working for the agent and not the company so agent would dictate your training and pay which could be good or bad.

I would look on craigslist as well as different companies websites for open positions..

I haven't found much sincerity in Craigslist. A lot of puffing and burning new agent's warm market going on there.

I did however spent 60 minutes filling out enormous Liberty Mutual on-line application. Hope they call.

Go to any of the websites (allstate.com, farmers.com, statefarm.com) type in your zip code under find an agent and ask if they are hiring. Most of the time there will be about 30% are open to it. Hard to keep staff as an agent.

Good luck!

walk into a Farmers District managers office, if you are breathing and have an active Pulse, they will give you a chance
