Liberty National?

Liberty National Is United American. They just merged the 2 companies and dropped the UA name because of the bad press

I was with United American when they merged with Liberty National. UA was not a good experience for me but the little bit of experience I had with Liberty National was pretty good.

As long as I worked with them directly I didn't have any problems. Their products were decent and I recieved good service when I called their corporate office and they did pay on time.

What I learned from this experience is to research, research, and research. Empower yourself!!

LibNat might as well be an MLM-- their whole focus is on recruiting. "Managers" are consumed with quotas for new agents and devote very little attention to new agents once their initial contracting is done. The products are supplemental crap that every other fringe carrier is pimping. There are numerous threads about this outfit, so you might augment your concerns by doing a search...

Please shed some more insight on this company for me. You mentioned your experience with LibNat was good. Would you recommend a new agent starting with them.

I'm also interested in why buldog63 would say run the other way. I'm looking to making the right decision for me at this point in my career. More so interested in some of the old heads on this forum to give some advice... seems that most people making comments like this only haven't been on the board that long so I question there experience.

Well, I have been in insurance for over 22 years, 5 of those years with LNL.
As a sales manager there was constant pressure to recruit new agents, turnover was high as base pay were lowered. There turnover rate has to be one of the highest in the industry.
There products really aren't that great compared to what is avaliable.
Again, there focus is on recruiting and writing insurance on your friends and family and then moving to the next recruit.

Gotcha! Thanks buldog. Let me ask you something... were those 5 years with LibNat profitable for you?
