Life Leads

I am one and a half months into a career change selling p/c and life. I am performing well with the p/c side, but I am struggling with the life portion. I have trouble transitioning my p/c business into life business, and I have considered purchasing life leads. However, any potential company that I investigate for life leads yields very negative reviews. Do or have any of the pros on the forum subscribed to any lead companies? Any recommendations?

If you're selling P&C it should be an easy transition to ask about the life portion. Do this, when are finishing up you're P&C business ask the client who they have their life insurance with. The majority of the time they will tell you.

If they say they don't have life insurance then just ask if they had 1. thought about getting life insurance and 2. if you could have your life specialist contact them if there is interest.
 
I have been in this business for 30 years and in my experience, P&C Agents make terrible Life Agents.

Reason: P&C Agents are used to selling a product that consumers Have to Have. Ex; Car, Home, Health..... whereby Life, DI and LTC are products that have to be sold off Need. This is a different process not trained to typical P&C Agents. Actually, fully trained Life agents make better P&C agents because of needs based selling.

I will admit though, P&C guys have a better work ethic than Life Agents and when properly trained will be a better agent in the long run.

Remember, no consumer wakes up in the morning and says "I want to buy some Life Insurance Today".
95% of consumers are SOLD life insurance.
