FYI - Insurance license scam alert

We've received a notice from the Department of Insurance concerning an insurance license scam. We wanted to make you aware of this situation:

Scam artists are identifying themselves (primarily by phone) as Department staff/investigators and notifying life insurance agents (i.e., the licensee) that they are under investigation, and that their license may be suspended or revoked, or that an arrest warrant has been issued in the licensee's name. They will then request money to "resolve the problem."

If you suspect any fraud, please call the main line of the Department of Insurance.
