Ma New Business Bottleneck Blues

Every year starting about now till Mid-February we over paid, under worked MA agents sit on hold and then discover 7 different ways to screw up an enrollment. Many of us suffer from a severe form of new business bottleneck blues.

Last night I had an Aetna nightmare that reminded me of the Wizard of OZ. I guess I'm losing it!

My biggest problem this year is I'm already booked up with all the appointments I want. On top of that I'm getting calls from people in all directions 1 to 2 hrs drive in ice & snow covered roads to rush right over and switch them to a new plan. It wouldn't be so bad if I was getting paid full commision but for a meeger $25 to $ 50 per app for an xtra 2-4 hr drive on top of everything else.

I'm snow bound today so that another day I have to make up before Christmass. Bottom line is I can't see everyone and I don't like stressing myself out trying.

Wow, not trying to "rub it in", but it's sunny and 80 degrees here in Tampa today...just got back from an outdoor swim!

:D
I'm only 8 months away from a outddor swim.

Gotta love Medicare...

Hmmm...when should we make enrollment...I know! Over the holidays. And how long should we give them...45 days.

BUT, lets make sure the agents have to mail out permission slips to talk to the seniors, and then they have to get them back before they set the appointment.

After all, we have 1-800 Medicare they can call for an almost correct answer.

Anyone that wants Universal Healthcare should try working this market!

More entertainment while on hold...

LOL What a crack-up!! Noticed the phone is cracked too.

Glad i scrolled some old posts. Think I may send this to some of my Medicare clients.

Now that the 2009 AEP and OEP is over -- we over paid agents :swoon: are required to re-certify for the 2010 season. Here is a glimpse of the Well careless training module for 2010.

Enjoy!!!
