alright just fyi for the above list, kramer's link is busted, lead strategies is more expensive than westernresources, but their lead is the same that monumental uses, and lead connection doesnt give pricing, but expects you to sign up and give out billing info before they give you the price, i haven't called for any of them, but since i have time tomorrow, i will call them and see who offers the lowest price. i will report back, seems to me that western resources has the best price, but lead strategies has the best FE mailer.

So .... how do the numbers work out for you guys on these things?

How many thousands do you mail?

Response rates better than 1%?

Do you call behind the mailers?

Whats the product and revenue generated per sale?

How targeted are these lists?

Can you specify Age Gender Income? anything like that?

They must not be using first class stamps at those prices. I hear it's important to use first class stamps. It increases the chances of it being opened.

Unless they can buy postage in an alternative universe than the rest of us ... 1st class is $.42 at my PO ...

Just the stamps are $420.00 per 1k

If I want something to be actually read and opened - I dont send it out without a first class stamp, or better.

A HINT TO SAVE MONEY ON POSTAGE: If you mail 500 or more pieces at one time, there is a special first class stamp which your mail house can use. It can cut your first class postage down to between 32.4¢-36.9¢ for a letter-size mail piece. Just tell your mailing house you would like to use Precancelled First Class stamps and you'd like to mail at automation rates. If they don't know what you are talking about, you might want to call another mailing house.

The stamp looks just like a real stamp, because it is. It just doesn't cost 42¢.

If you really want to save money and super-fast delivery isn't an issue, you can get the "look" of a stamp (most people don't scrutinize the stamp closely) on a bulk rate mailing by using Precancelled Presort Standard stamps. They, too, look like stamps because they are. Your postage will run between22.5¢-25.7¢ each and you only need to mail 200 pieces at one time.
