As an ICA, with UNH.. I have AARP and MoO and Admiral as options through Ritter.

I think those are all I need for TN&GA....

There are lower cost plans.. but I doubt there is a more recognized name... AARP Medicare Supplement....? Community ratings help anyone....... There is a rating for anyone unless they have ESRD.... Is it competitive.......... and the best choice for some?

Given a choice between two plans (one being AARP and the other being any carrier that is cheaper), I have yet to have a client say, "No, I'd like to pay a higher premium for identical coverage."

I use AARP when the client is uninsurable or older and the AARP premium is cheaper. Competitive is a relative term.

If AARP is the only quiver in the bag, you will miss out on some sales.

We agree completely. Believe, however, AARP plans are more competitive in GA than in TN. In GA, they actually win out on some older folks (and obviously make sense when you need the "one quick question").
