Medical Insurance for Recent Immigrant Elderly Parents

Hi,

My Parents will immigrate to the US next year as Permanent residents.

They are both older than 75 and it does not look likely that they will be able to find a job where they can get health insurance.

It will be five years before they qualify for Medicaid.

Would appreciate any help I can get on the following questions:
1. Will they qualify for any from of coverage under ACA (ObamaCare).
2. If ACA is not an option what would be my other options for getting them insurance (if any).

Likewise- I have a mother in law who has been a legal resident three years, no income. I'll take her off the taxes, but what is the effect? On her, on me?

They can "buy into" Medicare, but it's expensive. You should be able to get details at medicare.gov.
