I read this forum frequently, I don't post often but I do enjoy the great information posted.

I have posted my feelings and thoughts on medicare advantage plans many times, I have sold a few mainly in special circumstances "disability under age clients".

I do help out clients on part D, I am getting calls from some of these clients that have Humana, what a crock when Humana calls the client you provide them and push medicare advantage plans on them.

I just had a customer calling saying that i never told them I could get insurance this cheap, the man on the phone said it was exactly the same coverage as what i had but at a 3rd of the cost...

Hello CMS.... this is bullshit, the whole racket is bullshit!

Explain the differences. It's not the same coverage. I'm sure you know that, but keep your head and control the conversation. Spell out the important talking points on the differences.

Humana is not the only one doing it. Coventry does it, Community CCRx does it, United Healthcare does it.... they view the part d crowd as a pool of leads and it doesn't matter if a contracted agent brought the client to them or not.

I guess the only part D clients I have never got this phone call from are Aetna clients.

You fool around with Humana or Coventry or United Health Care and you will get burned. The upper management that runs those organizations thinks both the agents and the customers were put on this planet just so they could use and take advantage of them.:1arghh:

United Healthcare has always been fair with me. Their a little slow sometimes on issuing med-supps(around 2 weeks from the time they receive app), but they've always been good about paying me in a timely matter.

Coventry does have issues on paying commissions and charging back on PDP plans where the insured kept it an entire year. I've caught them doing just that on a few of them the past couple of months. I have to call MoO back and then it gets corrected within a month.

Humana....way to many phone numbers to deal with. Their commission department does a D- job. I wrote a dental plan with them 1-2 months ago and still haven't been paid on it. After calling at least 5-6 different toll-free numbers I was told it was finally entered into their system and I should be paid on it by the end of March. I'll hold my breath.

Humana is too much of a headache to deal with.

This is why I don't sell part d plans. I do the research for my customers free of charge to find the right part d for them and I explain how the plan works and then I just have them call 1800medicare instead of the company to enroll over the phone. This way Humana or anyone else can swipe my new customers.:1cute:

You're not understanding what we're saying. The companies mentioned sell both PDP and MA's. No matter how a beneficiary is enrolled in a Humana PDP for example, Humana passes this person's contact information on to their sales force to contact about enrolling them into a MA plan. It doesn't matter if you use the Medicare website, medicare phone number, or call the company... they still get solicited by the company.
