Co-pays are not always a good solution. I personally have a co-pay plan that charges me 75 dollars for urgent care. Few months ago I had to go for a minor thing, Spoke with the doctor, gave a pill and that was it. Explanation of benefits came a month after and this was the detail.
Universal urgent care, bla, bla, bla----$120.00
insurance paid ---------$45.00
Pacient paid --------- $75.00
How much do i pay having an urgent care based on coinsurance, worst case 50% JUST $60.00 DOLLARS!!!!
