MS Med Supp Market, Any Advice

Does anyone have any advice on selling Med Supps in Mississippi, I'm new to this market and not sure how to begin prospecting. Know the products just need to find clients, what's the best method?

Selling Medicare Supplement policies in MS is basically the same no matter where you are. It's going to be just the same as selling them in Missouri.

The first thing you need is to make sure you are representing the three most competitive companies selling Med Supps in MS. Then get licensed with them if you are not already.

If you don't already know who they are the MS DOI may be able to provide you with that information. I can get it from the MO DOI.

I generate my own leads. I stopped purchasing leads about 6 to 8 years ago. I found that purchasing leads to sell Med Supps is a huge waste of money when working the senior market.

Purchase a list of seniors between the ages of 67 and 78 and start calling them. This has proved to be the easiest, most successful way for me to prospect.

Philadelphia American had a very affordable supplement in Mississippi last year I am not sure if they had a large rate increase yet.. Hope this helps.
